About
Riley Carrier is a percussionist and music educator in Tallahassee, Florida. While attending Florida State University, Riley performed with the FSU Marching Chiefs "Big 8" Drumline from 2016-2019 and was able to serve as section leader for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Riley has also performed with several local conert ensembles throughout his collegaite and professional career. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to play and perform with several local worship ministries.
As an educator, Riley has provided private percussion lessons in concert and marching percussion, as well as on drumset, since 2017. Throughout college he was able to work with local band programs as a percussion tech and guest clinician. Currently, he is in his sixth year as Percussion Instructor at Wakulla High School where he is responsible for facilitating rehearsals and student's progress throughout the season in addition to writing music for both drumline and front ensemble. After additionally fulfilling the responsibilities of Assisant Band Director at Wakulla High in 2021-2022, Riley acceped a position as the Band Director at Wakulla Middle School in Spring 2022. There, he oversees and directs beginning, intermediate, and advanced winds and percussion students in their foundational understandings of music, instrumental techniques, and ensmble performance.

From beginner to advanced percussionists and everyone in between, Riley Carrier Percussion offers 1 on 1 lessons for marching percussion, concert percussion and drumset. Lessons can be given in person in and around Tallahassee and virtually via Zoom and FaceTime. Lessons feature personalized curriculum, weekly meetings with guided practice material, and flexible rates.
